Blocking acrylic knit and crochet projects not only helps them lay flat, but also gives your projects a neat finish. The best way to block your knits with acrylic yarn is to steam bock them.

Here is what you need for blocking – your project, a flat steam-proof surface ( can be the iron board, a blocking board, or simply a cotton towel), rust-proof blocking pins, a steam iron.

Here are a few steps that will show you how it is done:

Step # 1: Lay your project flat on the iron board.

Step # 2: With the help of pins, stretch it to required dimensions and pin it.

Step # 3: Using the steam function of the iron, release steam by constantly hovering the iron above your project.

Important Note: At no time should the iron touch the knitted piece.
