Note – The front and back pieces of this top are being worked on separately, back and forth and are then being sown together.
Front and back panel:
CH 70-76-82-94-100-112. Turn, DC in the 4th CH from the hook, 1 DC in each CH ST. Total DC= 68-74-80-92-98-110.
Work a total of 15 rows with 1 DC in each ST.
The piece measures appx. 15 cm, increase 1 DC on each side on every row. Increase for a total of 5-7-8-10-11-12 rows. Total DC at the end of all increases= 78-88-96-112-120-134.
Decrease 2DC for armholes in each side on every row- *Turn, SLST in first 3 ST, CH3, DC in each ST except last 2 ST* REP * to * 5-7-8-10-11-12 times in total. DC at the end of all decreases = 58-60-64-72-76-86.
Decrease for neck- place marker at the middle of the last row worked. Decrease 2DC on every row towards the marker for V-shape neck 11-11-11-12-12-13 times in total.
Work another two rows with DC in each ST without any decrease. Work the other shoulder following same pattern.
Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
Assembly:
Sew the shoulder seams and side seams.
Armhole edges:
Join yarn, CH1, SC in same ST, SC in next 4 ST.
*CH3, SC3TOG at the bottom of the same ST, SLST in same ST, SC in next 5 ST*, REP * to * till the end of the round.
SLST in first ST to finish the round.
Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
Neck and bottom edge:
Join yarn, CH1, SC in same ST.
